CCTV, Security Cameras, Intercoms & Access Control — Joondalup

Cameras you can actually rely on. Hard-wired PoE installs that don't drop off the network, video intercoms wired to your existing entry door, electric strike access for gates and side entries. Bigger slice of what I do up here than most people realise.

What I do

  • 4-camera house packages — front door, side gate, driveway, back yard
  • 6–8 camera perimeter coverage for bigger blocks
  • IP / PoE camera install with proper Cat6 cable runs through ceilings and external conduit
  • NVR setup, mobile app sorted on your phone before I leave
  • Existing-system fault finding and upgrades (often the old NVR died and the cameras are fine)
  • Video intercom install (single unit or multi-unit)
  • Electric strike access control on side gates and entry doors
  • Commercial multi-cam setups for Lakeside-area shopfronts and the Joondalup industrial estate

Common jobs in Joondalup

4-camera house package on a Greenwood or Edgewater family home — front door, side gate, driveway, back yard. 6-camera perimeter coverage on a bigger Iluka or Burns Beach block with side access. Existing-system upgrade after the old NVR died — keep the cameras, replace the recorder, set up the phone app. Commercial 4-camera setup for a Joondalup town centre shopfront. Video intercom retrofit on a Mullaloo townhouse where the kids keep ignoring the doorbell.

What to SMS or photograph

  • Photos of where you want the cameras (front, sides, back)
  • Photo of the front of the house from the street
  • Whether you've got existing internet and where the modem lives
  • Property type — single storey, double storey, side access, back lane

FAQs

Why hard-wired and not wireless?

Battery wireless cameras run flat. Network wireless cameras drop off the wifi when you need them most. PoE means one cable for power and data — reliable, no batteries, recording all the time.

Can I check the cameras from my phone when I'm away?

Yes. NVR setup includes mobile app config before I leave.

Will it work with my existing internet?

Almost always. The cameras don't need huge bandwidth — even basic NBN will run a 4-cam PoE setup fine.
