Switchboard Upgrades in Joondalup

How long does a switchboard upgrade take?
Most standard upgrades are done in a day. Three-phase upgrades or jobs that need Western Power involvement for a larger main take longer - I will tell you upfront.
Will the power be off all day?
The main is off for 4-6 hours typically. I can run a temporary feed for your fridge and work computer if you need it.
Do I need to upgrade if I am just adding an EV charger?
Depends on your existing main fuse rating. Most 63A mains can handle a 7kW charger if you are not running three aircons at the same time. I will do a load assessment before quoting the charger.
What is included in a switchboard upgrade quote?
New board, new RCDs (minimum 2, usually 4 for a modern split), new MCBs for all circuits, new main switch, labelling, test certificate. Meter relocation and Western Power fees are quoted separately if needed.
